Tepozan Resist Polychrome is the most common resist ware found in the LQ-MVAP assemblage and the third most common decorated type behind Soyate Red-on-buff and the Incised-engraved ware. It was manufactured in the typical resist technique described above with some notable deviations. After the carbon-based colorant was applied and allowed to dry, red wash or slip was applied to the rim and less commonly in the central design field, and the vessel was then burnished.
