The enamel areas are separated by greased lines before firing. The greased areas burn away during firing, leaving the paste exposed. Cuerda Seca is clearly of the Moorish tradition.

Description

Paste is soft, cream-colored and compact. Geometric areas of colored tin enamel set apart by bands of unglazed pottery. The enamel areas include green, melado, blue, white and brown colors.
