General Information

Little has been published on this type. Cohen-Williams (1992) has proposed nine separate varieties of Guanajuato wares based on the decorative motifs and colors. At present time it is unknown whether they should be considered separate types or just variations within the overall identification as Guanajuato Polychrome.

This description of Guanajuato Polychrome comes from the Historical Archaeology Digital Ceramic Type Collection maintained by the Florida Museum of Natural History.
