Fine sand temper and granular paste texture; Light bluff, red-buff, gray, and mottled black

The Weeden Island Punctated types were impressed ny "fine dot or small triangular punctations" and were occasionally incised (Willey 1949:419). Furthermore, the common elements of the type were "continuous meanders, scrolls, lobate forms, leaflike forms, circles, and triangles" (Willey 1949:419).
