General Information

The Little Manatee Zoned Stamped type is a Late Woodland pottery type from the Southern part of central Gulf Coast and the Manatee region. According to Wiley 1949:443, the type possesses the "Soft temperless ware of the St. Johns or Biscayne variety". A unique characteristic of the Little Manatee Zoned Stamped type is that it appeared to have been incised and dentate-stamped when the clay was soft and unfired (Willey 1949:443)
