Whiteriver Polychrome is a type of Roosevelt Red Ware dating from 1360–1450 CE. Its distribution extends west to Bloody Basin, east to Safford, north to Chevelon Ruin, and south to Reeve Ruin, and it is most abundant in the northeastern portion of this area (Meghann M. Vance 2023 – American Southwest Virtual Museum).
Vessels are constructed by coiling and fired in an oxidizing atmosphere, producing brick-red, tan, gray, or black core colors with moderately abundant fine water-worn sand temper. Surfaces are slipped and polished (Meghann M. Vance 2023 –
