General Information

From the Southwest Ceramic Typology Project: Definition of Coolidge Corrugted as defined here is limited to rim sherds (Reed and others 1998). This type is characterized by indented, plain, or clapboard corrugations and rim eversion of less than 30 degrees and is similar to the range of eversion used to define Dolores Corrugated of the Northern San Juan tradition. Body sherds were not assigned to this type although many as body sherds from Coolidge Corrugated vessels may be assigned to variations of corrugated gray based on observations relating to coiled treatments.
